Dizzy’s Jazz Club is Australia’s first purpose-built Jazz Club. Having relocated from Swan street to Burnley street in 2007, the new location boasts the finest in entertainment from the long marble-topped bar, architecturally designed room, soft lighting and classic jazz prints adorning the walls which is combined with the finest music around.
Deep and long, the room comprises a large bar area, seating area and elevated bench top seating to allow everybody in the room and un-interrupted view of the band, with purpose built dance floor. There is also purpose built smokers deck at the front of the building to accommodate those who wish to smoke. A central dance floor in front of the tables sits next to the performers stage, from where a variety of jazz performers entertain patrons.
The drinks menu features classics as well as Dizzy’s own originals that have been designed with the astute connoisseur or discerning listener in mind. The food matches the drinks and music in quality, boasting a fine menu that incorporates Asian and European flavours from Indian, Mediterranean as well as modern Australian influences.

Whether you are celebrating a birthday, having a work function, an engagement party, or a personal celebration; Dizzy’s will provide the food and beverage package to suit your needs. Dizzy’s catering is set up to satisfy all manner of tastes, the atmosphere, and of course, the music that will make any occasion one that is hugely successful and memorable.
Dizzy’s remains open for business Tuesday – Saturday evenings. Some afternoons, early evenings, and Sundays are available for private functions upon request.
Dizzy’s can cater for a party of 100 seated guests at tables or can accommodate up to 140 guests comfortably standing.
Dizzy’s also incorporates a music agency that can provide the best live music that Melbourne has to offer. We can provide a tailored entertainment solution for your occasion, be it a private or corporate function.
We will find you the best performers and musicians for your event and budget. Please contact us to negotiate the right music at the right price. If you do not require a live performance, we can provide a selection of the finest Jazz recordings on our state of the art sound system, at no extra charge. Alternatively, we can accommodate any other specified music at your request.
Dizzy’s can provide table seating for 100 people, additional bar seating for around 40 people, and plenty of room on purpose build dance floor for your dancing shoes. Dizzy’s layout may be altered to suit your needs.
The hiring of Dizzy’s Jazz Club for a private function attracts a standard room hire charge of $1500 including 10% GST ($137).
Band fees vary, and can be supplied upon request.
Dizzy’s has excellent chefs and can provide the right food for any private function. A variety of menus can be supplied upon request.
